About The Position

The Part-Time Youth Specialist is responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and supervision of youth in the Juvenile Leadership Academy (JLA). This position provides direct supervision to youth in a secure residential setting by enforcing program rules, promoting positive behavior and accountability, supervising daily activities, responding to emergencies, documenting resident behavior, and serving as a positive role model while supporting the rehabilitation and personal development of youth. Female applicants only.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Must be 21 years of age or older
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with the public and others
Valid Driver's License
Eligible to be certified as a Juvenile Supervision Officer, which requires completion of CPR, First Aid, and Handle With Care Certification
Must be available to work various shifts, to include nights and weekends
Must be a Female applicant.
