About The Position

Liberty Resources is seeking a compassionate Youth Specialist to join our Youth Assertive Community Treatment (Youth ACT) team. In this role, you'll provide community-based behavioral health services that help youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) build the skills needed to succeed at home, in school, and in their communities. If you're passionate about behavioral health, youth services, social work, counseling, case management, and family support, we encourage you to apply. As a Youth Specialist, you'll provide strength-based, trauma-informed services in homes, schools, and community settings. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you'll help youth and families achieve individualized treatment goals while promoting emotional, behavioral, social, and independent living skills.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in human services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
1–2 years of experience working with youth and families in behavioral health or human services.
Valid New York State driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Youth ACT, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, CANS-NY, OMH standards, and electronic health records.

Responsibilities

Provide community-based rehabilitative and supportive services to youth and families.
Deliver services in home, school, and community settings.
Support treatment goals through engagement, skill-building, and recovery-focused interventions.
Collaborate with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners.
Participate in crisis intervention, safety planning, and stabilization efforts.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with OMH, Medicaid, and agency standards.
