About The Position
Soccer Shots Chattanooga is looking for a passionate part-time soccer coach to serve children ages 2-8. This is a fun and flexible job where you can be the best part of a child’s week. We offer a paid comprehensive training program to learn Soccer Shots’ curriculum, developmentally appropriate coaching techniques, and best practices. We schedule you based on your availability and proximity to sessions, with options to adjust your schedule seasonally. There are opportunities for career progression within the company, including full-time roles or internships in program coordination, coach management, marketing, and partnerships. The role involves being active, laughing, cheering, and delivering the unique Soccer Shots experience. Coaches are expected to spark passion for the game and build confidence in children. The job involves bringing "Soccer Island" alive with enthusiasm and creativity, conducting soccer sessions for children aged 2-8, including field set-up and take-down. Coaches will encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling, utilize expert-created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques, and foster a safe and inclusive environment. Following on-site safety and attendance protocols, and communicating effectively with families, caregivers, and teachers are also key responsibilities. Pay starts at $18 per 30-minute session and can increase up to $24 per session based on evaluations and growth.
Requirements
- No prior sports/coaching experience required.
- Genuine passion for children and sports.
- Energetic, engaging, and responsible.
- Safety conscious.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of kids ages 2-8.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand, jog, and model children’s soccer skills.
- Coaches must have or obtain state-required clearances.
