About The Position
Soccer Shots is seeking a passionate part-time Youth Soccer Coach to serve children ages 2-8. This role involves leading engaging soccer sessions, fostering character development, and creating a fun and safe environment. While it can be challenging, coaching our kids will be one of the most rewarding things you ever do. The position is located in Berkeley and Oakland, and local candidates are preferred. The schedule offers flexibility, with hours between Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm, and Saturday/Sunday mornings (9 am-12 pm), requiring availability for one weekend day. A ten-week commitment is required for lead roles. The coach will bring "Soccer Island" alive with enthusiasm and creativity, conduct soccer sessions for children aged 2-8, including field set-up and take-down, encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling, utilize expert-created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques, and foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants. Effective communication with families, caregivers, and teachers is also essential.
Requirements

- The training rate is $22/hour
- After completing training, pay is $25/hour (including admin and setup/breakdown time).
