About The Position

Soccer Shots is seeking a passionate part-time Youth Soccer Coach to serve children ages 2-8. This role involves leading engaging soccer sessions, fostering character development, and creating a fun, safe, and inclusive environment. While it can be challenging, coaching our kids will be one of the most rewarding things you ever do. The position is located from Oakland through to El Cerrito, and local candidates are preferred. The schedule offers flexibility with opportunities to work mornings, afternoons, and evenings on Mondays through Fridays, with Saturday mornings being required. A ten-week commitment is necessary for lead roles.

Requirements

Genuine passion for children and sports
Safety conscious
Access to reliable transportation
Ability to stand, jog, and model children’s soccer skills
Must be available to work one day out of the weekend.
A full ten-week commitment is required to take on a lead role.

Responsibilities

Bring “Soccer Island” alive with your enthusiasm and creativity
Conduct soccer sessions for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set-up and take-down
Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling
Utilize expert-created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques in every session
Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and teachers
