Youth Services Specialist
About The Position
People Incorporated is seeking a Youth Services Specialist stationed in Abingdon, Virginia. The Specialist implements Youth Services programs by engaging with high school students through visits to local high schools. The programs help prepare young people for educational and career success. The role includes participant recruitment, program delivery, reporting, and collaboration with department and organization staff to support program and participant success. The Specialist also oversees compliance with contracts involving youth services funding, oversees expenditures, recruits program participants, and maintains the Project Discovery Advisory Council, meeting with it quarterly.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in education, human services, or another related field.
- Two years of experience in a program serving youth.
Responsibilities
- Implement Youth Services programs by engaging with students at local high schools.
- Recruit participants for youth services programs.
- Deliver programs and complete reporting.
- Work with department and organization staff to promote program and participant success.
- Oversee compliance with contracts involving youth services funding.
- Oversee expenditures.
- Maintain the Project Discovery Advisory Council and meet with the council quarterly.
