About The Position

Century Villages at Cabrillo (CVC) is seeking a Part-Time Youth Services Leader to assist the Youth and Family Services Coordinator in executing after-school programming. This role involves facilitating group activities, providing mentorship and supervision to children, and potentially overseeing the program and interns in the Coordinator's absence. The position requires a commitment to CVC's mission of creating conditions for collaborating programs to succeed in overcoming homelessness.

Requirements

Associate or bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience working with adults and/or children with diverse backgrounds, particularly with the homeless population or troubled youth.
Must pass California DOJ background check for working with children.
Excellent on-time arrival and work attendance required.

Responsibilities

Assist with curriculum and activity development for the program.
Prepare supplies, snacks, etc. prior to the start of the program.
Clean up and debrief with staff about daily activities after each program.
Complete daily/weekly assessments of the children/youth, and complete necessary progress notes, and reports as needed.
Develop supportive relationships with children and provide appropriate role modeling and supervision to ensure their enjoyment, growth, and safety in the program.
Develop supportive relationships with the parent(s) of the children in the program to encourage their participation and give valuable feedback about their children.
Follows mandated reporting requirements according to adult and child protective state statutes.
Attend weekly staff meetings or supervision as assigned.
Complete other program-related assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Adheres to all Century Policies and Procedures.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
