About The Position

The Idaho Youth Ranch is hiring a Youth Residential Nurse to join the direct care team at its new Residential Center for Healing and Resilience, a 64-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility for youth located on the Hands of Promise Campus in Idaho’s Treasure Valley. The nurse will help provide trauma-informed, youth-guided, and family-driven behavioral health care that nurtures hope, healing, and resilience.

The position works three 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends. The hourly salary range is $33.00–$45.85. The Idaho Youth Ranch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, subject to the program’s conditions.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Idaho.
• Have a valid state-issued driver’s license, or obtain one within 15 days of hire as a condition of continued employment.
• Have knowledge of computer and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring visits.
• Conduct nursing and health assessments upon admission and weekly for each youth.
• Oversee and carry out medication administration, including observing psychiatry protocols.
• Triage emergency or urgent situations and administer emergency or first aid care.
• Triage clients to determine the appropriate level of care for their health and safety.
