About The Position

Soccer Shots runs the recreational soccer league for children ages PreK-8th grade at the Lockport Township Park District. Soccer Shots and our league continue to grow, and we are looking for PART-TIME coaches to join our team. This is a fall league, but we have winter and spring leagues for coaches who are interested in continuing throughout the year. Requirements

An ability to encourage, connect, and work with children in a sports environment.
The ability to follow a pre-written curriculum.
Have reliable transportation.
Be enthusiastic and high-energy.
Some soccer experience is required.
Have good physical stamina as you could be running, kneeling, and squatting on a field for up to 3 hours.
Coaches must be able to carry an equipment bag that contains 14 balls, nets, and more.
Understand the rules of the game.

Responsibilities

Encourage, connect, and work with children in a sports environment.
Follow a pre-written curriculum; coaches are not required to develop their own practice plans.
Ref and work with the children on the field during Saturday morning games.
Keep the kids safe and learning by understanding the basics of the game.
