About The Position

Soccer Shots runs the recreational soccer league for children ages PreK-8th grade at the Lockport Township Park District. Soccer Shots and our league continue to grow, and we are looking for PART-TIME coaches to join our team.

Requirements

Ability to encourage, connect, and work with children in a sports environment.
Ability to follow a pre-written curriculum.
Reliable transportation.
Enthusiastic and high-energy.
Enjoy playing or coaching soccer, some soccer experience is required.
Good physical stamina as you could be running, kneeling, and squatting on a field for up to 3 hours.
Coaches must be able to carry an equipment bag that contains 14 balls, nets, and more.
Understand the rules of the game.
Over 18 and out of high school.

Nice To Haves

Interest in continuing throughout the year with winter and spring leagues.

Responsibilities

Encourage, connect, and work with children in a sports environment.
Follow a pre-written curriculum; practice plans are not required to be developed by coaches.
Ref and work with the children on the field during Saturday morning games.
Keep the kids safe and learning by understanding the basics of the game.
