About The Position

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Youth Re-Engagement Specialist - Case Manager for the Youth Re-Engagement (U3) program, located at Everett Community College. This position provides comprehensive lead case management services for high school dropouts aged 16-21. The U3 program assists students in earning a high school diploma equivalent and gaining access to postsecondary education. The role operates under the supervision of a program manager and is mission-driven, focusing on client-centered, culturally-aware services that preserve dignity and enhance self-worth.

Requirements

  • Three+ years of experience working with at-risk youth ages 16-21.
  • Three years' experience working with community college counselors in helping youth access and complete two-year college degrees.
  • Experience writing curriculum and preparing training materials for underserved students.
  • Experience working in a college environment.
  • Experience in creating/revising high school curricula.
  • Experience teaching in a college setting.
  • AA degree required.
  • Must maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Must complete a pre-hire and annual TB test screening.
  • Annual employee health screening required.
  • Annual TB test required.
  • Annual influenza vaccine required (exceptions for approved medical or religious exemptions).
  • Fully fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge of college resources, testing, general practices and policies.
  • Knowledge of local youth resources.
  • Ability to keep accurate records, case notes and student documents.
  • Ability to academically advise a large number of students.
  • Knowledge of and experience with community college enrollment and registration procedures.
  • Flexibility and ability to work a non-traditional work schedule.
  • Must have transportation, driver's license and insurance.
  • Must navigate initial hire screenings including a background check.
  • Must sign and date the job description to affirm validity and signify compliance.
  • Must sign an oath of permanent confidentiality covering all student-related information.
  • Must adhere to Sea Mar Employee Health Screening and Infection Control policies.

  • BA in human services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive lead case management services for high school dropouts, aged 16-21.
  • Participate in outreach, recruitment, and assessment activities.
  • Assess applicants to determine program eligibility, complete enrollment/registration documentation, and conduct testing.
  • Identify barriers to school success and develop strategies to overcome them, assisting youth in gaining access to necessary services.
  • Provide transportation if needed.
  • Meet with instructors to assist students who are struggling and create plans for success.
  • Monitor student attendance and educational progress.
  • Teach a Career Development class, including creating and revising curriculum.
  • Provide academic advising for all U3 students.
  • Complete transcript evaluations as needed.
  • Attend campus meetings/trainings as assigned.
  • Facilitate information meetings to the general public as assigned.
  • Conduct orientations for prospective students, including testing.
  • Maintain accurate files, including up-to-date case notes and other required documents for each student.
  • Attend regular U3 team, agency, staff, and community meetings as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as determined by the program manager or designee.
