About The Position
The Youth Program Manager oversees the day-to-day operation of Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania programming. This role is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where young people can learn, grow, and build meaningful relationships. The Program Manager plans and delivers high-quality youth programming, supervises staff, builds relationships with students and families, and serves as a key connection within the Clubhouse.
Requirements
- Experience working with children and youth in educational, recreational, after-school, or community-based settings.
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people, families, and community partners.
- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using Google Workspace and maintaining program records.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and oversee engaging programs for youth in areas such as STEM, literacy, arts, recreation, leadership, and healthy lifestyles.
- Create a positive, inclusive environment where youth feel safe, supported, and connected.
- Manage daily schedules, activities, attendance, and program operations.
- Support youth recruitment, enrollment, participation, and retention.
- Maintain accurate program records, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with BGCWPA policies and applicable licensing requirements.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to program staff.
- Assist with onboarding, training, scheduling, and staff development.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and positive youth development.
- Build strong relationships with students, families, school staff, and community partners.
- Support family engagement activities, events, and special programs.
- Connect youth and families to additional opportunities available through BGCWPA.
- Work closely with the Clubhouse team to ensure consistency and alignment across programs.
- Support Clubhouse programming, special events, and operations as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and organisational initiatives.
