About The Position

Gunnison County Public Works Department is seeking a seasonal employee for youth prevention services. This role involves various outdoor and maintenance tasks to support the county's strategic initiatives, funded by grants. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the community while experiencing the Gunnison Valley's outdoor lifestyle. Employment duration is dependent on funding availability.

Requirements

  • Must be able to provide own lunch and drinks
  • May be unable to leave site for lunch

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in road projects, culvert cleaning, fencing, tree/brush removal, sign installation, vehicle/equipment maintenance, recycling/landfill operations, or trail work is a plus.

  • Flagging for various road projects
  • Cleaning out culverts
  • Fencing
  • Tree and brush removal
  • Sign installation
  • Servicing and cleaning pickup trucks and equipment
  • Assisting the recycling center and landfill
