About The Position

Mountain Lake Services is seeking a compassionate individual with previous knowledge of the Mental Health field for a Youth Peer Advocate position in Keeseville, NY. This role offers a flexible Monday-Friday schedule and focuses on supporting youth and their families within a transitional residential setting and the community.

Requirements

  • Completion of the Youth Peer Advocate certification process and full credentialing required.
  • Personal lived experience with mental illness, substance use, homelessness, or trauma as a youth.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous knowledge of the Mental Health field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mutual support, hope, and reassurance to the youth and their families.
  • Advocate by being the voice for the youth and represent the youth in meetings related to and about the youth.
  • Fulfill job duties in both the community and the Transition Residential Setting program.
