About The Position

We are looking to hire a Youth Pastor to help lead students from 6 to 12th grade at the East Bethel location. This is an on-site, part-time position working 20 hours per week (flexible daytime + nights). The compensation for this position is $25 per hour.

  • Has a strong ability to organize and follow through with ongoing tasks
  • Ability to recruit, train, and manage qualified volunteers
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience directly working in Youth Ministry, or comparable experience
  • Ability to navigate church or facility buildings, often including steps
  • Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, and bending
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Provide vision and leadership for the East Bethel Youth Ministry, actively identifying areas of improvement
  • Oversee, enforce, and refine all Youth Ministry standards; ensure compliance with all state and federal laws
  • Manage organizational structure, making adjustments as needed
  • Develop and utilize frameworks to cultivate and respond to Youth Ministry feedback
  • Consistently invest in students' lives outside of weekly programming
  • Plan and lead weekly youth group night for middle and high school students
  • Prepare and deliver biblically based and engaging messages tailored to teenagers
  • Facilitate a welcoming environment where students' faith can grow in community, inspiring them to follow Jesus and help others do the same
  • Coordinate musical worship with the worship leader
  • Recruit, train, and manage all ministry volunteers, providing support and encouragement when needed
  • Identify and develop leaders to support volunteers and carry out ministry tasks, providing consistent training and discipleship resources
  • Prepare curriculum materials and manage supplies, equipment, or resources necessary for ministry
  • Maintain consistent communication with students and parents through effective channels such as email and social media
  • Plan and execute special youth events, including but not limited to summer camps, retreats, or outreach nights.
  • Meet regularly with your Location Pastor and the Central Youth Ministry Leader to ensure the overall health of the ministry, ensuring continued improvement or enrichment of the ministry
  • Attend all required staff meetings and departmental meetings
