Coach Across America is a national nonprofit organization focused on the power of coaches to transform the lives of vulnerable youth and their communities through sports. They partner with local nonprofits, schools, and sports organizations to support and train AmeriCorps coaches for a one-year service term in underserved communities. The Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills (BGCF) aims to help young people reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible community members through programs in Education, Character & Leadership Development, Health & Life Skills, the Arts, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation. The Youth Mentoring Professional (YMP) Coach is primarily responsible for ensuring members' safety, building transformative relationships, and planning/implementing enriching programs. This role involves setting up and running daily programs, following Club policies, assisting in all departments, and building positive relationships with members. The organization is seeking multiple half-time youth sports coaches for a 900-hour AmeriCorps service term over one year to support sports programs, clinics, and play. Prior coaching experience is a plus, but not required, as training will be provided.
