Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be willing to attend program meetings, classes, activities and conferences.
  • Must be a positive role model for youth and support the youth as leaders in their community.
  • Must be willing to prepare written reports and making presentations to various audiences.
  • Must have the ability to operate a personal computer with various programs.
  • Must be proficient in audio manipulation software.
  • Experience with social media platforms. (i.e. Facebook, You Tube, Instagram)
  • Must be proficient in Photo Shop, Publisher, Adobe related software.
  • Must have experience in photo documentation.
  • Must have experience in maintaining computer records and data.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license able to be bonded.
  • Must pass a security background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference given to those with prior experience in youth programming.
  • Preference provided to qualified members of the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony followed by members of other federally recognized tribes.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting daily operations, such as managing phone communications, data entry, and processing program paperwork.
  • Assisting with planning and implementing engaging activities for youth groups.
  • Attending meetings and events to foster a sense of community.
  • Research focused on youth outreach, prevention, and civic engagement.
  • Collaborating with other departments to enhance youth involvement.
  • Effective community outreach aimed at promoting, recruiting, and retaining youth in various programs.
