Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County is seeking a Youth Mental/Behavioral Health Intern to support youth mental and behavioral health, social-emotional learning, trauma-informed care, and positive youth development across Club sites. This internship is a strong fit for students in social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, human services, education, occupational therapy, juvenile criminal justice, or related fields who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in a nonprofit, youth-serving environment. Interns may support elementary, middle school, and/or high school youth depending on site needs, schedule, and internship requirements. This internship helps provide relationship-based mental health and social-emotional support within the Club setting. Interns may assist with individual youth check-ins, small SEL groups, regulation spaces, coping skill development, documentation, staff collaboration, and trauma-informed programming.
