About The Position
Join the Allen County Public Library as a Full-Time Youth Librarian at our Little Turtle Branch. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with kids and teens and wants to spark curiosity and creativity in young minds. You will be responsible for planning and leading storytimes and programs, engaging in outreach to schools and daycares, and fostering a love of reading and learning. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree + 2 years of library experience (or equivalent)
- Indiana Public Librarian Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Experience or passion for working with children and teens
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A commitment to serving diverse communities
Responsibilities
- Create and lead engaging programs for children and teens
- Build relationships through outreach to schools, daycares, and community partners
- Help young patrons and families find books, resources, and technology
- Support daily library services, including circulation and account assistance
- Contribute to displays, collections, and a welcoming, inclusive space
