Ensures the safety and well-being of all students by supervising them before and after school hours, ensuring safety in residential programming and events. The role involves discussing moral, ethical, or other subjects with students, listening to their problems, assisting with homework, and escorting students to classes, off-campus activities, and meals. The Youth Leader also conducts hourly bed checks at night. This position promotes the optimal independence of all students by providing instruction and guidance in daily living skills, developing programs and activities that foster communication, social, emotional, and personal growth, and organizing recreational activities. The role requires completing detailed documentation in a timely manner, observing and responding to student behavior issues appropriately, and performing light housekeeping in the dorms while instructing students on applicable chores.
