About The Position

The Independent Living Program (ILP) helps youth and young adults, who are or were in Foster Care gain the knowledge, skills, and ability to become self-sufficient adults. It gives young people the opportunity to learn the skills they need to make a successful transition from state or tribal custody to living on their own. The Independent Living Coordinator (ILC) provides support in developing educational and employment skills, health education and access, life skills, healthy and supportive relationships, transportation, and housing needs.

Requirements

  • Applicant must be 23 years old or older.
  • A total of three (3) years of relevant experience, education, or a combination of both.
  • Must reside in or around the Portland Metro Area.
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver license, acceptable driving record, auto insurance.

  • Provides support in healthy and supportive relationships.
  • Provides support in transportation needs.
  • Provides support in housing needs.
