About The Position
The Youth Flag Football Official is responsible for officiating youth flag football games for grades K-8. The program aims to develop a passion for sports and fundamental football skills in each child. Required availability is on Saturdays from the beginning of September through the end of October, from 9 am to 12 pm. Pay is per game: $20/game for Kindergarten - 3rd grade games and $25/game for 4th - 8th grade games. This position will remain open until all positions are filled.
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills
- Knowledge about the sport of football
- 15+ years old
Responsibilities
- Interpret and enforce all flag football rules and adaptations
- Supervise and control conduct on field
- Provide quality customer service
- Be ready to work at scheduled times
- Dress and act in a manner that is professional
- Follow all policies and procedures set forth by the City of Stoughton Parks & Recreation Department
- Examine playing field and equipment to ensure safety
- Fill out own time sheet accurately and turn into supervisor before leaving
- Cooperatively work in a team with other officials and supervisor
- Attend all game dates
- Communicate with Recreation Supervisor in a timely manner regarding inability to make scheduled games
- Be able to attend all necessary trainings
