About The Position
Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) is seeking Youth Flag Football Officials for its league designed for players in grades 2nd-5th. The league is divided into two age groups: 2nd-3rd and 4th-5th. The program focuses on teaching football fundamentals in a supportive and positive environment. Officials are crucial in maintaining this atmosphere.
Requirements
- Background in flag football (preferred, but willingness to learn is a plus).
- Experience working with elementary-aged children.
- Working knowledge of Flag Football rules and regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Officiating experience (any sport) is a plus.
- WIAA Football Referee Certification
- Strong understanding of fair play and sportsmanship.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Officiate games for second- through fifth-grade flag football league games.
- Manage the clock and enforce MSCR's flag football league rules.
- Ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants during games.
- Attend mandatory training for new officials (provided by MSCR).
