About The Position

As a Youth & Family Director at the YMCA, you will play a key leadership role in creating meaningful experiences for children, families, staff, volunteers, and members. This is a highly visible position that combines program leadership, staff development, relationship building, community engagement, and operational oversight. You will lead KidsZone, KidsClub, STEAM, and family programming while ensuring participants have a safe, welcoming, and engaging experience. You will recruit, hire, train, schedule, and develop staff and volunteers while providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback. You will also oversee program quality, participant satisfaction, facility and equipment readiness, and fiscal responsibility. Success in this role requires balancing people leadership with operational responsibilities while maintaining a strong focus on participant experience, staff engagement, and community impact.
