About The Position

The Center for Youth partners with youth to help them realize their full potential by creating opportunities, removing barriers, and promoting social justice. Safe Harbour provides case coordination and advocacy for commercially sexually exploited youth, including shelter, counseling, safety needs, and other interventions. The Youth Engagement Advocate provides intensive case management and advocacy to help youth address immediate life and safety issues and reduce the risk of continued sexual exploitation and abuse.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field and two years of experience navigating systems and providing crisis case management, or an equivalent combination.
• Valid driver's license.
• Excellent literacy and communication skills.
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Offers may be contingent on a background check and driving record and automobile insurance that meet agency insurance carrier requirements.

• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention.
• Provide case management and youth advocacy.
• Provide individual counseling.
• Conduct community outreach to youth-serving agencies.
• Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with center policies.
• Support referral readiness and provide referral services.
• Respond after hours, assess needs, and conduct intake.
• Engage youth to offer services and referrals.
• Transport clients when required and consistent with agency policies.
