The Youth Development Seasonal Admin will support the Summer Camp Program Director in the development and implementation of curriculum for all out of school time programs. Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • High school student, high school diploma, or GED preferred.
  • Ability to stay organized and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions from supervisors.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google/Gmail, or similar technology preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with staff and program participants.
  • Must be dependable, responsible, and able to maintain confidentiality when handling program materials and information.
  • Certifications required within the first week of hire: Redwoods Bloodborne Pathogens, Defensive Driving, Child Abuse Prevention, and Hazardous Communications.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, organize, and transport supplies up to 20 pounds as needed.
  • Incumbent must be a positive role model to children and display emotional maturity and stability at all times.
  • Certifications required within the first 60 days of hire: YMCA approved basic life saving skills such as CPR, First Aid, AED, and Emergency Oxygen.
  • This position must have the ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license as well as capacity to drive to various locations within the greater San Antonio metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain all YSA administrative binders, first aid kits, and program supply boxes to ensure materials are current, complete, and organized.
  • Count, organize, and distribute snacks and supplies to program sites as needed.
  • Organize, inventory, and restock the YSA supply closet and program materials.
  • Organize and maintain staff shirts and related program apparel.
  • Maintain inventory records for YSA school phones, tablets, and other program technology equipment.
  • Assist Youth Development administrative staff with general program support and special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and storage areas.
  • Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Follow YMCA policies, procedures, and safety standards while supporting the mission and values of the YMCA of Greater San Antonio.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Youth Development leadership staff.
