Youth Development Professional II – Mount Baker Middle School Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County Part-Time (18–22 hrs/week) | $20.20–$21.43 DOE/DOQ Middle school is a time when young people are figuring out who they are, what they're good at, where they fit, and just how much independence they can handle. Having a trusted adult in their corner can make a difference. We're looking for a Youth Development Professional who can build genuine connections with middle school youth while helping make the Club a place where they can relax, have fun, try new things, and feel like they belong. You might organize a game, help turn someone's interest into a new activity, encourage a youth who's hesitant to join in, or simply be the person who takes a few minutes to listen. Sports, gaming, art, STEM, music, cooking, and your own interests can all become ways to connect and create opportunities for youth to explore. This role takes more than enthusiasm. Middle schoolers need adults who can have fun with them while also being patient, consistent, and willing to set positive boundaries. You don't need to know every trend or have the perfect response to every situation-you do need to show up ready to build relationships and help create a welcoming environment. Our values of Fun, Respect, Integrity, Community, and Acceptance guide how we want youth and staff to experience the Club every day. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and available Monday through Friday. If you're someone who can meet middle schoolers where they are, encourage them to discover what's next, and be a steady adult they can count on, we'd like to hear from you.
