This position involves working closely with high-risk/violent youth offenders, mentoring them and overseeing their activities. Responsibilities include scheduling and supervising individual and group activities, writing various reports such as court reports, parole summaries, and treatment plans, and assisting in teaching pro-social, academic, and vocational skills. The role requires implementing specialized treatment plans, co-facilitating sessions with a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, and providing crisis intervention. Employees must pass the Integrated Crisis Response (ICR) intervention program within 90 days of employment and be able to resolve potentially dangerous situations to ensure safety. Transporting youth and effective communication, both written and verbal, are also key aspects of the role.
