About The Position

The Youth Day Treatment Therapist evaluates and treats children and families in a structured behavioral health setting. The program serves youth in kindergarten through fifth grade who need a step-down from or alternative to inpatient or partial hospitalization care, or transitional care following those services. It provides more intensive support than outpatient treatment to help youth return to the community or avoid more restrictive treatment. The therapist facilitates therapeutic activities based on each child's treatment plan and serves on the child's Treatment Team. The role works with an integrated treatment team, including case managers and a psychiatrist, and alongside school staff. Staff supervise students during program hours on school premises and follow the applicable school or agency schedule and school-specific emergency, safety, and operational protocols. The therapist may provide services to other day treatment programs as agency needs require. The position is full-time and exempt, with a Monday–Friday schedule of 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; flexibility is required to meet client needs.
