About The Position

This position is responsible for helping children with Severe Emotional Disturbances and their families by providing attendant care. You will work with children alone and in groups, developing and performing activities to enhance functioning based on their treatment plans. This position will require evening work; however, your schedule is up to you.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent
At least 21 years of age or older
Reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and automobile liability insurance
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Basic computer skills
Results of criminal and all other applicable background checks must meet the approval of Pawnee Mental Health Services.

Nice To Haves

Some post-secondary education in human services and/or related work experience
Experience with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

Developing activities to enhance the child’s functioning, within established treatment plans
Working directly with children ages 4-18, individually and in groups, providing services on site or in their home, school, or community
Scheduling services and documenting progress in the child’s health record
Training in crisis response procedures and providing 1-on-1 support to clients in crisis
Being an on-call resource for crisis services
Assist with medication compliance
Acting as an advocate for mental health rights and community integration
