About The Position
TGA of West Houston is seeking energetic, reliable, and enthusiastic Cheer Coaches to lead fun after-school programs at several elementary schools in Houston. The role involves teaching cheer fundamentals, fostering a positive environment, and building confidence and leadership skills in young athletes. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for working with children, such as teachers, coaches, college students, former cheerleaders, dancers, or gymnasts.
Requirements
- Enjoy working with children ages 5–12
- Dependable, energetic, and professional
- Ability to pass a background check
- Reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Experience playing pickleball, tennis, or racquet sports preferred
Responsibilities
- Teach the fundamentals of cheer, including motions, jumps, chants, teamwork, and performance skills in a fun and engaging environment
- Create a positive and encouraging experience for young athletes
- Build confidence, leadership, sportsmanship, and school spirit
- Lead after-school classes using our proven curriculum
