About The Position

The Youth Center Assistant will facilitate check-in and check-out of Afterschool Youth Program Students, and lead a variety of activities with students in different spaces throughout the community center. This role involves enforcing program policies and rules, and with the support of the Education Coordinator, planning activities for students. The position requires availability during program hours, Monday through Friday, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Requirements

• Must have experience working with youth in a formal and/or informal setting.
• Must have high school diploma or higher.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Archery Instructor Level 1 or higher optional for specific programming.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate check-in and check-out of Afterschool Youth Program Students.
• Facilitate a variety of activities with students after school.
• Facilitate students in a variety of break-out spaces throughout the community center.
• Enforce program policies and rules.
• With the support of the Education Coordinator, plan a variety of activities for students.
