About The Position

WCAC’s YouthWorks program places eligible teens and young adults (ages 14–25) in paid, short-term work experiences helping them build the skills and confidence needed to enter and succeed in the workforce. We are seeking a Summer Seasonal (June - August) Case Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for assigned youth participants and worksite employers — facilitating weekly group meetings, conducting worksite visits, and maintaining consistent communication to ensure a positive and successful work experience. This role involves monitoring worksite compliance, managing timesheets and payroll distribution, and tracking participant progress through the YouthWorks database and state work readiness curriculum. The Case Manager will also develop individualized Work-Based Learning Plans, support youth with next-step planning such as resume writing, and connect participants with wrap-around services as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or HiSet equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in an office environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to learn software and databases used by WCAC.
  • Familiarity with Worcester and knowledge of community resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Positive, friendly, and resourceful demeanor required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Embraces and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Ability to successfully complete a CORI/SORI review.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • This position requires travel throughout the community to different worksites.

  • Ability to speak Spanish or other languages, a plus.
