About The Position

Abraxas Youth and Family Services is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Youth Care Worker to support clients in a therapeutic and meaningful manner. The role provides direct supervision and leadership, serves as a positive role model, helps maintain the daily activity schedule and structure, coordinates client activities, and facilitates and documents psycho-educational groups using standardized curricula. The worker also conducts scheduled and random head counts to support effective people security. This is a full-time position at the Abraxas Youth and Family Services location in Marienville, Pennsylvania. The schedule is 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with weekends required and flexibility to work overtime as needed. No experience is required for many positions, and paid training is provided. The listed pay is $19.77 per hour, with daily pay available.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to pass physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
Must pass federal and state background checks.
Flexibility to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision and leadership to clients, serving as a role model and interacting with them in a therapeutic and meaningful manner.
Implement the daily activity schedule and structure.
Coordinate client activities, such as Family Night and Structured Recreation.
Facilitate and document psycho-educational groups using standardized curricula.
