About The Position
Ft. Myers Academy is a MODERATE RISK residential/detention facility which offers comprehensive care and treatment, specializing in evidence-based intensive mental health services. The academy is dedicated to providing high-quality care in a serene and supportive environment, designed to promote healing and recovery for individuals facing mental health challenges. With a focus on evidence-based practices, Ft. Myers Academy ensures that each client receives personalized, effective treatment tailored to their specific needs. As a Youth Care Worker - Days, you will have the unique opportunity to create a positive, safe and supportive environment for the youth we serve while building a career rich in growth opportunities and self-fulfillment.
Requirements
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- One-year experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education
- Possess a Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour security and supervision to always ensure the safety of our Youth.
- Monitor and document behaviors.
- Monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time.
- Assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.
