About The Position

Abraxas Youth and Family Services is seeking a full-time Youth Care Worker to support clients in a therapeutic setting. The role provides direct supervision and leadership, serves as a role model, and engages with clients in meaningful ways. The worker implements the daily schedule and structure, coordinates client activities, facilitates and documents psycho-educational groups using standardized curricula, and conducts scheduled and random head counts to support people security. Paid training is provided, and no experience is required for many positions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must pass physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
Must pass federal and state background checks.
Flexibility to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision and leadership to clients and serve as a role model while interacting in a therapeutic and meaningful manner.
Implement the daily activity schedule and structure.
Coordinate client activities, including Family Night and Structured Recreation.
Facilitate and document psycho-educational groups using standardized curricula.
Conduct scheduled and random head counts to provide effective people security.
