About The Position

The Youth Care Professional works with children at the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows in Winnemucca, creating a safe, engaging environment and supporting their development. The role involves leading activities such as art projects, sports, fitness, and field trips, while helping children develop skills, build confidence, and make connections. The employee serves as a positive role model and mentor and contributes to the Club’s mission of helping young people reach their full potential as caring, productive, responsible citizens. This is a part-time role with schedules intended to be consistent. Club operating hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The posting notes that employees have nights and weekends free.

Requirements

Be at least 17 years old.
Be able to communicate and cooperate with children, other staff, and parents.
Complete a drug screen for illegal substances, a background check, and a fingerprint check.
Provide three references. Professional references are requested for applicants with work experience; otherwise, references may be non-family members over age 18 who can speak to the applicant’s character and professionalism.
