The City of Golden is seeking qualified applicants for the Youth CARA Track Coach position. This role involves teaching the skills and techniques of track and field to youth populations ages 2 to 14, serving as a coach and mentor in support of CARA goals and program. The coach will instruct participants in skills, techniques, and code of conduct, utilizing various teaching methods and possessing a general knowledge of track and field fundamentals and rules. The goal is to create an enjoyable experience while teaching fundamentals, ensuring all participants have an opportunity to engage, and exercising and teaching safety awareness. The coach will assess participant skill levels, communicate effectively with participants, parents, co-workers, and supervisors, and provide regular feedback and program evaluation to the Athletics supervisor. Responsibilities also include cleaning and maintaining the program area, potentially taking on lead role responsibilities, and performing other assigned duties.
