About The Position

This position involves work of moderate difficulty in planning and implementing activities, pro-social skills training, and family support services for youth. The role requires adherence to workplace procedures, health and safety protocols, and completion of all associated training. Responsibilities include operating the front desk, monitoring youth check-in, processing confidential information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR), engaging with youth and families to build trust, planning and coordinating social activities, maintaining membership access systems, and managing client records in compliance with various state and county regulations. The position also involves assisting youth and families in navigating community resources and services, utilizing person-first language, demonstrating compassionate customer service, and building relationships with collaborative partners. For the II level, additional duties include functioning as a member of the treatment team, communicating and coordinating client care with various professionals, and planning/facilitating pro-social and psycho-educational groups. Essential functions include sitting, walking, standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, reaching, bending, crawling, working with others, dealing with interruptions, repetitive motion for computer work and filing, and requiring specific vision, hearing, speech, and finger dexterity.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or high school equivalency
  • Two years working with youth
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must obtain Fingerprint Clearance Card within two months from date of hire.
  • Must obtain an Arizona driver's license by date of hire and maintain it throughout employment.
  • Final job offer will be contingent upon a satisfactory 5-year Arizona Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Must have current CPR and First Aid Certification completed within 30 days of hire (I) or current CPR and First Aid Certification (II).

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Clinical Director in the day-to-day operations of Youth Center
  • Adheres to workplace procedures as well as health and safety protocols
  • Completes all training associated with the position
  • Operates the front desk and monitors the checking in procedures of youth
  • Processes and inputs confidential and sensitive information into Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Engages with the youth and their families and works to create trust between youth, family, and Youth Center
  • Plans and coordinates social activities for youth in center
  • Maintains membership access system
  • Maintains client records in compliance with Coconino County Health and Human Services, Arizona Department of Health Services, Regional Behavioral Health Authority/health plans, and Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System.
  • Assists youth and their families in navigating, providing referrals to community partners and accessing services within the community
  • Utilizes person-first language in all interactions and demonstrates excellence in compassionate customer service
  • Builds relationships with collaborative partners to support and strengthen referrals and linkages to care
  • Completes documentation in the Electronic Health Record for activities with enrolled individuals.
  • Participates in weekly supervision with Clinical Director
  • Functions positively as a member of the treatment team providing behavioral health services to youth (II only)
  • Communicates and coordinates client care with family members, behavioral and medical health professionals, and community resources. (II only)
  • Plan and facilitate pro social and psycho educational groups for youth (II only)
