About The Position

Play Hard Hoops is a premier youth basketball organization serving the Chicagoland suburbs and city. We offer over 40 boys and girls travel teams annually, alongside year-round skills training, leagues, and camps, all aimed at developing young athletes' skills, confidence, and passion for the game. We are seeking energetic, dependable, and passionate coaches to expand our staff. Opportunities are available for experienced travel coaches as well as those beginning their coaching careers as assistants.

Requirements

• Energetic, dependable, and passionate.
• Experience as a former player or current coach is beneficial.
• Ability to work with children.
• Availability for weekday evenings (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM) and varying weekend hours.

Nice To Haves

• Experienced travel coach.
• College students, teachers, and basketball enthusiasts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead team practices.
• Coach games and tournaments.
• Develop players' individual skills and team concepts.
• Foster a competitive, positive, and supportive team culture.
• Communicate with families and program leadership.
• Support youth basketball programming including weekly skills development classes, weekend leagues, holiday and seasonal camps, and beginner/intermediate player development programs.
