Youth Apprenticeship Position
About The Position
Rice Lake Weighing Systems partners with the Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship (YA) Program. This is a 1- or 2-year initiative that combines paid work experience through employers and classroom instruction to prepare junior and senior year students for careers, college, or registered apprenticeships. The program includes Work-Based Learning, providing paid, supervised experience in a chosen occupational area; Classroom Instruction, with related coursework aligned with high school graduation requirements and industry standards; and Mentorship, where students are guided by experienced mentors who support skill development, career planning, and professional growth. Areas supporting Youth Apprenticeship opportunities at Rice Lake Weighing Systems include: Assembly / Packaging, Machining, Manufacturing Processes, Welding, Production Operations and Support, and Maintenance Assistant.
