About The Position

Beloit Health System is seeking a Youth Apprentice to join their team. This Per Diem position is located in Beloit, WI. The Youth Apprentice will participate in daily tasks to assist healthcare professionals, acquire practical experience, and enhance the overall patient care experience. This role involves performing essential caregiving duties for residents within the facility, adhering to standard precautions and infection control measures, changing linens, following Individual Service Plans, and assisting residents with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, showering, personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and transfers, as well as aiding with the use and care of ADL devices.

Requirements

• Must be a current High School Student, 16 years of age or older
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Interest in pursuing a career in healthcare
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a healthcare environment

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of medical terminology helpful

Responsibilities

• Provide key caregiving activities to residents in the facility.
• Use standard precautions and infection prevention controls.
• Change linens.
• Follow Individual Service Plans.
