About The Position

Provides patient care in a hospital setting under the direction of nursing staff. This role is designed for individuals participating in a Youth Apprentice program and completing a CNA certificate program. The apprentice will provide patient care as assigned and per routine, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures. Responsibilities include answering call lights, documenting care, maintaining a clean environment, managing supplies, and potentially floating to various units based on patient care needs. The position also involves participation in department or unit performance improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Completion of CNA certificate program
  • Participating in a Youth Apprentice program
  • Current CNA Certificate in applicable state.
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days
