The Department of Commerce is seeking a Youth and Young Adult Data Team Manager to provide strategic leadership for the Data & Performance Unit (DPU) within the Housing Division (HD). This role is crucial for strengthening HMIS data quality, expanding data literacy, and improving the collection, analysis, and use of data across Washington's Office of Homeless Youth (OHY) funded programs. The manager will lead the development and implementation of statewide data quality improvement strategies, technical assistance, training, and analytical initiatives. This position aims to enable providers, communities, and state leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions that improve outcomes for youth and young adults experiencing homelessness. The manager will oversee a multidisciplinary team responsible for HMIS technical assistance, training, analytics, and performance monitoring, fostering collaboration with OHY, HMIS administrators, community partners, and young people with lived experience. Through leadership of data-informed system improvement efforts, including Built for Zero initiatives, this position advances equitable, trauma-informed data practices and supports the goal of making youth homelessness rare, brief, and one-time.
