Youth and Family Social Worker
About The Position
Global Clinical is a Michigan-based behavioral health organization serving children, families, and communities through individual psychotherapy, community-based programs and partnerships, and school-based clinical social work. The organization is seeking a licensed or limited-license mental health professional to provide one-on-one services to clients and families in Ottawa County, Michigan. The role is based in person at Global Clinical’s Grand Haven office, in a center-based environment. The clinician will work with clients across children’s and adult services, initially supporting clients during weekday afternoon and evening hours, primarily from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The position begins on contract at $45 per hour, with the intention that it may grow into a full-time opportunity over 8–10 months.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
- Michigan mental health professional license: LMSW, LLMSW, LP, or LLP.
- Experience with trauma-informed treatment modalities.
- Advanced knowledge of social work services and experience working with at-risk families.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice To Haves
- At least two years of outpatient social work experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct social work services to youth and their families, initially primarily on weekday evenings from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Host up to one or two youth group therapy sessions per week.
- Conduct thorough mental health and needs assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide case management support as needed to help patients access services related to their treatment goals.
- Serve as a liaison between families and community resources.
- Maintain detailed case documentation and progress notes.
- Participate in case reviews and team meetings with community partners.
- Engage in relevant professional development activities.
