About The Position
The YMCA at Downtown is seeking energetic and responsible Youth Activity Center Staff to join their team. This part-time position involves interacting with children ages 6-12, building connections, and ensuring a fun and safe environment for them to grow. The role requires being a positive role model, guiding children through engaging activities, and maintaining a safe and welcoming space. Interaction with both children and parents is a key aspect of the role.
Requirements
- Minimum Age: 18
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a busy, lively environment
- New Hire Orientation before your first shift
- CPR/First Aid/AED within 30 days
Responsibilities
- Be a positive role model, guiding kids through engaging activities.
- Keep our Youth Activity Center a safe, welcoming space where kids can play, learn, and grow.
- Interact with both kids and parents, ensuring a great experience for all.
