About The Position

Bethesda Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Youth Activities Counselor to create exceptional experiences for members and their families. The role provides a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children while their parents enjoy the Club’s amenities. The counselor plans and leads age-appropriate activities, supports youth and family programming, and helps maintain the Kids Room. The Club describes its workplace as positive and supportive, with a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• A genuine passion for working with children in a fun, active environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting.
• Comfort using computer systems to accurately enter and access information.
• Dependable, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment for children of all ages.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, games, sports, and special events.
• Support youth programming related to Golf, Tennis, Fitness, and other Club activities.
• Assist with organizing and coordinating the Tiger Cub Program.
• Help plan, set up, and execute children’s events and family programming.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the Kids Room.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked activity space.
• Collect, organize, and manage lost and found items.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed while providing outstanding member service.
