About The Position

As a Gym Supervisor, you'll help create a safe, fun, and welcoming space for all youth sports participants. You’ll manage operations during youth basketball programs, ensure smooth transitions between games, and support coaches, players, and families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must pass a background check & participate in CPR training (YMCA will lead after hire and you will be paid for your training)
• Confidence and professionalism when engaging with diverse groups
• An ideal candidate is trustworthy and dependable.
• Must have a great work ethic and must represent the YMCA in a positive way.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the YMCA Basketball Program, mission and values preferred

Responsibilities

• Open/close the gym 30 minutes before and after programs
• Set up and manage equipment (scoreboards, clocks, chairs)
• Enforce program start/stop times and YMCA safety policies
• Restore the gym to a clean and orderly condition
• Lock facility doors, check bathrooms, broom and turn off lights at the end of your shift
• Record and report game scores to the Program Engagement Manager within 12 hours after your shift
• Foster and maintain positive communication with coaches and players
• Other duties as assigned
