Yield Enhancement DRAM DA

MicronBoise, ID

About The Position

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions. Micron's research and development department has an opening for a Yield Analysis (DA) engineer. This role is responsible for developing next-generation memory solutions and supporting production transfer for new Micron products. As a DA engineer, you will characterize electrical data to identify and source extrinsic and intrinsic device issues impacting yield. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams from R&D and manufacturing to accelerate product-to-market timelines by applying device physics knowledge to develop end-of-line device performance predictions using machine learning. We are seeking engineers who are passionate about problem detection, driving improvements, and finding innovative ways to predict end-of-line device performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of industrial experience in a related semiconductor field, or an MS or PhD in Engineering or a related Semiconductor field.
  • Good understanding of semiconductor processing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in CMOS operation and understanding of memory cell operation.
  • The ability to effectively extract, analyze, and report data.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
  • The ability to communicate complex analysis in a succinct and actionable manner.
  • The ability to be detail-oriented and follow complex procedures.
  • Continuous improvement process (CIP) mentality, looking for ways to improve measurement accuracy and end-of-line yield predictions.
  • Demonstrated statistical analysis skills.
  • Programming skills, including JavaScript, Python, R, and SQL.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment with little supervision.
  • The ability to continuously learn and self-improve.
  • The ability to lead and coordinate discussion forums of cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze end-of-line test, parametric, and fab data to identify design, process, and test issues impacting yield.
  • Develop new tools for yield analysis and implement machine learning techniques to improve analysis efficiency and accuracy, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to improve proficiency.
  • Identify new creative and innovative ways to use existing tools to identify relevant process issues or device failures.
  • Identify interactions between process modules and/or equipment to detect fail mechanisms.
  • Use inline collected data to drive process improvements.
  • Improve yield by standardizing methods and procedures to promote consistent, comparable, and repeatable processes.
  • Lead or participate in multi-area focus teams to troubleshoot complex yield issues.
  • Provide feedback on design and process issues limiting device functionality and assist the R&D team in driving resolutions.
  • Publish and present reports on the analysis of process experiments.
  • Support the transfer of new parts from R&D sites to manufacturing sites.

Benefits

  • Choice of medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Benefit programs that help protect your income if you are unable to work due to illness or injury.
  • Paid family leave.
  • Robust paid time-off program.
  • Paid holidays.
