Yield Enhancement DRAM DA

Micron TechnologyBoise, ID

About The Position

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions. Micron research and development has an opening for a Yield Analysis (DA) engineer to develop our next generation memory solution and to support production transfer for the next generation Micron products. As a DA engineer, you will be responsible for characterizing electrical data to identify and source out extrinsic and intrinsic device issues that are impacting yield. You will work closely with a cross-functional team from R&D and manufacturing to accelerate product to market timelines by applying device physics knowledge to develop end-of-line device performance prediction using machine learning. We need engineers who are passionate about detecting problems, making changes for the better, and seek out innovative ways to predict end-of-line device performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor with 5 year industrial experience in related semiconductor field, or MS or PhD in Engineering or related Semiconductor field.
  • Good understanding of semiconductor processing
  • Demonstrated expertise in CMOS operation and understanding of memory cell operation
  • The ability to effectively extract, analyze, and report data
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • The ability to communicate complex analysis in a succinct and actionable manner
  • The ability to be detailed oriented and follow complex procedures
  • Continuous improvement process (CIP) mentality, looking for ways to improve measurement accuracy and end-of-line yield predictions
  • Demonstrated statistical analysis skills
  • Programming skills, including JavaScript, Python, R, and SQL
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment and with little supervision
  • The ability to continuously learn and self-improve
  • The ability to lead and coordinate discussion forums of cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Analyze end-of-line test, parametric and fab data to identify design, process, and test issues that are impacting yield
  • Develop new tools for yield analysis and implement machine learning techniques to improve analysis efficiency and accuracy, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to improve proficiency.
  • Identify new creative and innovative ways to use existing tools to identify relevant process issues or device failures
  • Identify interactions between process modules and/or equipment to detect fail mechanisms
  • Use the data collected inline to drive process improvements
  • Improve yield by standardizing methods and procedures to promote consistent, comparable and repeatable processes
  • Lead or participate in multi-area focus teams to troubleshoot complex yield issues
  • Providing feedback on design and process issues that are limiting device functionality and help the R&D team driving resolution to existing issues
  • Publish and present reports on analysis of process experiments
  • Support transfer of new part from R&D site to manufacturing site

Benefits

  • Choice of medical, dental and vision plans
  • Benefit programs that help protect your income if you are unable to work due to illness or injury
  • Paid family leave
  • Robust paid time-off program
  • Paid holidays
